Poem

I found this poem at the beginning of a book I'm reading called "Born In Our Hearts." Its an excellent collection of touching adoption stories... stories from adoptees, birth mothers, adoptive parents, singles, siblings, Dads and even grandparents. I loved this poem on the first page. I'm sure I will be using it again when I create her scrapbook album!


Not flesh of my flesh,
Nor bone of my bone,
But still miraculously
my own.
Never forget
For a single minute,
That you weren't born
Under my heart,
But in it.
