130,000 miles

I bet Dave Ramsey (Christian radio host and spokesperson for Financial Peace University) would be throwing a tantrum if he knew that we had signed up for not one, but TWO credit cards last January!! LOL!

Jeff and I do not use credit cards (except our debit cards), but when we found out that we had 4,000 frequent flyer miles that would be expiring, we were offered a credit card that would give us an additional 30,000 miles for signing up and offer us double and triple miles for purchases. I clicked on the e-mails with the intention of sending them to the trash when the lightbulb went on. What if we could earn enough frequent flyer miles to get at least one of our tickets paid for? So began... OPERATION Fly-To-Korea....

For the last 18 months, we have been putting absolutely every expense on these cards. Not only that, but our incredibly supportive friends and family have also been putting their expenses on our cards and just paying us back!! We knew we would be REALLY close to getting one round trip ticket and one one-way ticket. With the cost of airline tickets to Korea, this would save us... well... thousands.

My heart was beating as I opened the account to check our balance. We needed 130,000 miles to get to Korea this month and we were out of time.
Our account? 131,000.

God is so good. He always provides. How could I have ever doubted!!

Thank you soooo much to all of the friends and family who have helped us with this. We can not thank you enough! We're ready to book those flights sweet pea!

Praise the LORD!

That's how we flew to Korea to get Narae! Used Mark's sky miled. We closed his account last year after it had exactly what was needed for me to fly on a missions trip to Bangkok. They were Delta Sky Miles and guess what airline the ministry had booked their tickets with....you got it DELTA! I was able to join the team with the exact tickets at no charge. This time, God is providing in different ways.. JEHOVAH JIREH...God is THE PROVIDER!!!

Congratulations on being so close to your sweetie now! Imagine my surprise when I dropped in from another blog to "meet" you and saw the name that you have chosen for your daughter! We had just decided to use that exact same name a couple of weeks ago - never having heard or seen it! I have to admit, it is beautiful, isn't it? We are using Rose as a middle name for our 3rd China blessing, not yet home! Prayers for your adoption journey!
