We just had our first home study meeting today with our social worker!
Jeff and I were both a little nervous, but she was very nice and put us at ease. Whew! This first meeting was mostly just getting to know her and beginning to go over some of the information that she is required to talk about with us regarding adopting internationally- like the overall process, the effects of institutionalization, developmental issues, attachment and bonding, etc... I was really glad that we had already completed the first half of our Hague trainings, as we were much more educated discussing these issues than if we wouldn't have had any prior experience/training.
We scheduled our next meeting for next Sunday! YEAH!! I'm excited! Each step is a step closer to bringing our daughter home!! ;-)
