Our DOSSIER was sent to Korea TODAY!!
WOW! I can't believe we've really finally gotten to this step!
Where has 9 months, 3 weeks and 2 days gone?
It seems like just yesterday that we were researching countries, sending in applications, getting medical exams, writing autobiographies and having homestudy meetings. It seems like just yesterday that we were waiting anxiously for our approval to come from US Customs. It seems like just yesterday that God placed this desire and love in our hearts to give a home to a special little girl halfway around the world.
The next step of our journey will probably be the hardest. The next step will not be filled with busy-work, it will not be filled with meetings or applications to fill out. It will be spent waiting. Waiting to be matched with our daughter... and only God knows the timing of that.
They have told us probably between 7-10 months to receive our referral. That puts us at around February for the earliest. So, in the meantime we wait... We will wait and pray. We will wait and watch other families bring their little ones home. We will wait and know there is an incredible day coming where we will be the ones to get that phone call and to see our beautiful daughter's face. So begins the next step of our journey... the wait.
I'm waiting
I'm waiting on You, Lord
And I am hopeful
I'm waiting on You, Lord
Though it is painful
But patiently, I will wait
