Good news!
We just received a newsletter from our agency and the Korea program continues to run smoothly. Our agency received three referrals in December and NINE referrals in January. Three children joined their family in December, four in January and three are scheduled to come home in February!!
They are still saying that the estimated wait time for referral is seven to nine months, but I was so excited to see NINE referrals come in for January! I'm trying not to read into that number, but since that is triple the number of referrals that normally come in for a month, I am VERY excited! Hopefully that pushes us up a little on the list?? I hope so! Keep the prayers coming! We can't wait to see our little girl's face!!!!!

What an encouraging post!! Wonderful news for all those families and yours, too!!
Nine...wow, that is awesome!!
WOW>>NINE????? That has to help you guys out! I think that is seriously the most referrals I have ever heard of in one month! And I thought six was a lot:) Just out of curiousity, what was the boy/girl ratio and what agency are you guys using (unless you would rather not share I understand)?
We are working with Spence-Chapin in New York. They work with SWS in Korea. I have no idea about the boy/girl ratio except that we know there are more boys available than girls and that the boys tend to be healthier. Many of the girls suffer from minor or correctable special needs. They have said because girl referrals are more rare, it is common that our wait will be closer to the nine month mark rather than the seven month... but a girl can hope, right??!!
