What is an I600?

OH GLORIOUS DAY!!

Now that our I600 has been officially submitted, I am one happy girl!

So what exactly is an I600??
And why are we so excited??

The I600 is the official paperwork that approves us as adoptive parents to a particular orphan, in this case our sweet pea Adelyn. This paperwork is sent to US Customs and Immigration and is our LAST paperwork on the US side. Once we get this approval, everything else happens on Korea's side with her passport and visas. Please continue praying for fast approval. I know prayers work and I know God is listening. I have to believe he wants her home as bad as we do!

The average wait time has been about 4 weeks for approval (although I've seen families get approved in as little as 2 1/2 weeks up to 12 weeks!). I am praying for a speedy turn-around.

Next step: EP!!
(This is the Emigration Permit and is the Korean government's permission for Adelyn to leave the country)
