EA, VI, VP... and ABCDEFG!!

So as we sit waiting for our I600 approval, there are some last steps that will be completed to bring our daughter home. These typically go pretty fast once we receive the I600 approval... usually about 2-3 weeks... and then.... TRAVEL CALL!!

Here's the process we are left with....

EP:
Emmigration Permit
This is Adelyn's permission to leave Korea to be adopted. The agency asks the Korean government for one. It has nothing to do with anything you do here except, some documents from the acceptance packet are used when the EP is applied for.

NVC In/NVC Out: National Visa Center In and Out
Once the visa goes in/out with the NVC it goes to the US Embassy in Seoul.
It will be sent both in e-mail and hard copy.
Next they log the visa into their system and the process begins.
The US Embassy will say to our Korean adoption agency, we have a visa for Daum (Adelyn).

P3:
Application Packet for Visa
In order for our baby to get her visa, an application packet must be filled out. This packet is the "P3". Many forms are needed for a P3 to be complete...

EA/EI:
Embassy Appearance/Embassy Interview
One of the steps needed to complete the P3 packet for her visa.
Adelyn will be brought for an appearance at the US Embassy.

VP:
Visa Physical
One of the steps needed to complete the P3 packet for her visa.
She needs to have a medical checkup to insure she is healthy to travel.

Class B Waiver:
This is a paper we already signed. Sometimes it is requested, sometimes it is not. Spence-Chapin has it on file if they ask for it.

The VISA is actually a sticker put into the passport with your baby's photo on it.
When all the documents are done, collected, and appearances made, the P3 is returned.

VI: Visa Interview
Once the P3 is returned the VI is booked right away.
Once her visa interview is recorded on the books, our phone can ring at anytime!!

TC: Travel Call
This is the phone call we have been waiting one year and 6 months to get! When we get the call, we are cleared to travel and bring our sweet pea home!!!!

Please continue praying our I600 is returned super fast and that these last steps can fall into place quickly. Every day feels like an eternity! My heart feels like it will explode if I have to wait one more day! Praying for patience!! Will keep you updated as we know more!
