Oh yeah... we have I600 APPROVAL!!
To say I am doing the happy dance is an understatement! I just can't stop smiling!!!
Jeff called USCIS this afternoon and found out our paperwork had been reviewed and signed off on May 27! She said we should be receiving our copy in the mail any day now! This makes me so happy. This is such a surprise because Jeff called on Friday and was told we had not even been assigned an officer yet... and yet today, we find out we were already approved on Friday! Jeff said the woman he talked to today was very helpful and even had him confirm her name a few times to be sure.
So what does this mean?
The I600 was the last paperwork needed on the US side. This is from our US Customs and Immigration and gives us approval to be Adelyn's parents and to bring her to the United States. Everything from here on out will be on Korea's side! WHOO-HOOO!!!! We are coming baby girl!
What's next?
NVC In/NVC Out...
(This is where the National Visa Center will receive Adelyn's paperwork from USCIS. They need to receive both a hard copy and an e-mail version. Once it is processed, it is NVC in. And once it is done, it is NVC out. This only takes a few days. Hoping to hear news soon that we are NVC in!)
At this point, if everything goes smoothly, we might be traveling in 2-3 weeks!!!!!
