First Night A Success!

We woke up this morning to a smiling little princess! She slept ALL night!! When she first woke up, she whimpered a little and wanted to be held, but that was it! I couldn't believe it!! She ate her breakfast like a champ, then crawled on the bed with us and laughed and squealed and played. What did we do to deserve this? I keep waiting for the ball to drop and her to start grieving or crying uncontrollably, or not liking one of us... but so far, we have been amazed at how well she is adjusting! Not to say we won't have some setbacks when we return home, but for now, I will take this!!

After breakfast, she had her first bath. The foster mom said she has a bath everyday and I could tell... she LOVES water! She laughed and splashed and got both of us wet! Then we had to find just the right outfit for the day... with matching hair accessory of course! And then it was time for her first nap. She typically takes a nap at about 10:00 and about 2:00. Right on the mark, she started rubbing her ears (which we now know means she is tired), gave her a bottle and she went right to sleep. This little one is on an amazing schedule! Thank you foster Mom!! We are ready for our first day together as a forever family!
