Four Weeks.

Four weeks.

One month.

It has gone by so quickly, I forgot to post about it!!

Adelyn continues to amaze us. She is such a loving, outgoing and fun baby girl. We have been loving our summer playing together! Here are some highlights from the last week:

* Addi is a snuggle-bug. In the middle of the night, sometimes she will wake up whimpering and I will pull her next to me and she snuggles up to me so tight she's like a little magnet. She usually lays on her side with her belly against me and an arm thrown across my chest and goes right back to sleep. I could lay like that forever...

* Jeff and Carson have been at cut scout (webelo) camp this week, so its been just Kolby and Addi and me. Because of the heat, we've spent a lot of time at Mom and Dad's on the water swimming in the bayou. She loves to try to eat seaweed, sticks and sand!! She also loves to attempt to swim and will crawl out in the water as fast as possible until the water is to her nose! Silly girl! She spent most of the time floating in the water in a baby blow up ring just soaking up the sun!!

* She is having fun playing with her cousin Chase who is two months younger than her. They "attempt" to share toys... this consists of one of them pulling a toy towards them, then the other pulling it back the other way. This goes on with lots of little babbles back and forth. Its very entertaining to watch!!

* She met her cousins Brenda and Jim and their boys. She loved eating pizza and strawberry shortcake with them. They gave her a wooden cookie play set and it has turned into one of her favorite toys! She loves to stack them, chew them, and carry them around everywhere!

* She traveled to the other side of the state to visit her Grandma and Grandpa B, aunts, uncles and cousins. She even went to her cousin's bridal shower and entertained everyone! She especially loved Grandma's shower cake and special flower cookies! (photos to come!)

* She talked to Daddy on the phone! Daddy called from boy scout camp to say hi and I held the phone up to her ear. She heard Daddy's voice and grabbed the phone with both hands and said "Dada Dada Dada"... it was soooo precious!!!

*She continues to love to eat ... everything! This week she loved cauliflower and cheese, grilled zucchini, bbq chicken and brownies. Grandma even gave her her very own chocolate ice cream cone. It was a good thing she was wearing her swimming suit!! She looked like we had dipped her in chocolate!!

It still seems so surreal that she has been home with us for a whole month.... and yet at the same time, it feels like she has always been in our family. I thank God everyday for bringing us our precious baby girl.
