Three weeks.
How is it possible that three weeks has gone by so fast with our little peanut! She continues to amaze us and bring us joy everyday. Already we can see her growing up and changing in the last three weeks...
*Her hair is getting longer and I can even get it into a pigtail on top! (How her foster mother got it into a pigtail on Gotcha Day is beyond me!!)
*She is sleeping through the night almost everynight! She wakes up occasionally and I pull her next to me in bed and she snuggles her warm body up against me and goes right back to sleep. I love it.
*She is so happy and outgoing, but definitely timid of strangers. She is very comfortable if we are holding her, but will only let other people hold her for a few moments, then its back to Mommy or Daddy.
*She is saying "Dada" and definitely knows who it means!
*She has two teeth popping through on top!
*She knows how to wave bye-bye double-handed!
*She went to church for the first time and did great! She bounced and clapped during the worship songs and played peek-a-boo and charmed the people sitting behind us. Everyone wanted to meet her afterwards and she did awesome smiling at them from her carrier!
*She went on her first bike ride in our bike trailer. She was more scared of the boys wearing their bike helmets than being in the bike trailer. She got used to it and loved it!
*She went to a nearby park and played in the water of the bayou. She is such a waterbaby! The water was very shallow, but she would crawl into it headfirst until it was to her mouth and she was drinking it. Its so funny!
*She went to the zoo for the first time! She was in the Ergo carrier, but everytime she saw an animal, she would squeal and kick her feet! It was so fun!
*She is getting more comfortable playing by herself. She will sit on the floor in the living room with her toys and play for extended amounts of time now independently. Its fun watching her discover new textures and sounds and explore new toys. The boys both love playing with her too!
*She ate pizza for the first time and loved it!
That is the latest scoop for now! Our little girl is doing sooooo good!
